Overview

Onboarding typically involves a comprehensive customer identification and due diligence procedure. Learn more about the objects using Metaprise API. The key steps are as follows:


  1. Collect customer information:
    • Personal details: name, date of birth, nationality, contact information, etc.
    • Identification documents: passport, driver's license or other government-issued ID
    • Financial information: source of income, assets, liabilities, etc.

  2. Verify customer identity:
    • Validate the authenticity and validity of the provided identity documents
    • Conduct further due diligence checks, such as identity verification and credit checks, if necessary.

  3. Establish customer risk assessment:
    • Evaluate the potential money laundering or terrorist financing risks based on factors like the customer's nationality, occupation, transaction patterns, etc.
    • Implement appropriate customer due diligence measures, such as standard or enhanced due diligence.

  4. Set up the account and activate services:
    • Open the appropriate account or product based on the customer's needs
    • Activate the required banking services, such as payments, deposits, loans, etc.

  5. Ongoing monitoring:
    • Establish a customer monitoring mechanism to continuously track the customer's transaction behavior and risk profile.
    • Promptly take further due diligence or reporting actions upon detecting any suspicious activities.
